President- Jonathan Washington
Jonathan Washington is a resident Daytonian who has dedicated much of his career to the support and growth of the youth in the city of Dayton and surrounding areas. He spent several years as a high school boys basketball coach, helping to secure their team a spot in the state Final Four Championship. After deciding to start his own youth basketball organization, Gem City Heat Basketball in 2019, he has lead his program to #1 seed in regular season play, and a National Championship in the AAU Nationals in Florida in 2021. Outside of basketball, he is a devoted husband, father, entrepreneur, and Co-Chair for Preschool Promise for Boys, an educational initiative developed to strengthen and support black boys in preschools in and around the Dayton area.
